Quality Measures
The quality performance category evaluates the quality of care you deliver by measuring health care processes, outcomes, and patient experiences of care. You must collect and submit measure data for the 12-month performance prior (January 1 through December 31) of each year.
There are 5 collection types for MIPS quality measures:
- Electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs)
- MIPS Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs)
- Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) Measures;
- Medicare Part B Claims Measures; and
- The Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAPHS) for MIPS Survey.
Most participants report 6 quality measures, including at least one outcome measure or one high-priority measure in the absence of an outcome measure, or a complete specialty measure set. Clinicians may select any of the 190+ measures available, but may want to explore measures based on their specialty and/or submission method. Measure data may be collected via methods to fulfill the requirement of reporting at least 6 quality measures.
Tebra supports the following 19 Electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs). Follow the link for each measure’s definition and required documentation. The documents will guide you through what and where to document in the EHR to capture the data for each measure.
Note: Clinicians who wish to submit measures not listed below, should consider selecting either CQMs, QCDR or Medicare Part B Claims submission process. These submission options provide clinicians a wider variety of quality measures that may be more suitable to their specialty.
