Billing
Billing General Improvements
- Kareo was updated with the new:
- AstraZeneca and Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine CPT codes. Visit the AMA website for more information about CPT codes for AstraZeneca and Janssen COVID-19 vaccines.
- COVID-19 ICD-10 codes implemented by the CDC. Visit the CMS website for more information about 2021 ICD-10 updates.
- The Stripe Terminal Collect Patient Payment feature displays more specific error messages when a payment cannot be processed.
Billing Resolved Issues
- Fixed an issue where encounters with Telehealth as the POS could not be approved
- Fixed an issue where users experienced latency logging into and navigating in Kareo
- Fixed an issue where users were unable to access Kareo
- Fixed an issue where Kareo Engage Patient Intake information was merged but the Patient record in the Kareo Desktop Application (PM) did not update
- Fixed an issue where Patient Collections page was not displaying the patient balances
- Fixed an issue where 2021 Medicare Rates did not populate in Contracts and Fees
- Fixed an issue where the "I've forgotten my username or password!" feature did not send the email to the user
- Fixed an issue where the Activate button was missing under the Patient Payments Settings
- Fixed an issue where the Billing Questions contact information was missing on the Payment Receipt
Clinical
Clinical General Improvements
- AstraZeneca and Janssen COVID-19 vaccines are accessible to order, administer as new, or add as historical.
- Users are now logged out of CQMsolution when they log out of Kareo.
- Kareo was updated with the new COVID-19 ICD-10 codes implemented by the CDC. Visit the CMS website for more information about 2021 ICD-10 updates.
Clinical Resolved Issues
- Fixed an issue where prescription sent after 4:00 PM PST submitted a future date to the pharmacy
- Fixed an issue where a denied renewal request processed as a new prescription
- Fixed an issue where the quantity prescribe does not match the quantity displayed on the active medication list or when printed
- Fixed an issue where providers were unable to take action on eRx send failure or change request
- Fixed an issue where all problems in the assessment section of a note did not populate in the plan section
- Fixed an issue where users were unable to save changes to the family history section of a new note
- Fixed an issue where providers were unable to respond to refill requests from the pharmacy
- Fixed an issue where problems in a physical therapy note was populated in the treatment section instead of plan
- Fixed an issue where users received an error message when attempting to save changes to a note type
- Fixed an issue where providers were unable to prescribe Norco 10mg-325mg oral tablets
- Fixed an issue where the year 2021 was not an option to select from the date picker
- Fixed an issue where users were unable to access medications from the patient's face sheet
- Fixed an issue where prescriptions sent to the pharmacy was linked to a different patient

Platform General Improvements
- New accounts, practices, and users now have an in-app setup checklist that helps navigate them through getting started with Kareo. Feature available by the end of February 2021.

- Fixed an issue where users received an error message when attempting to view the Dashboard or the Calendar
- Fixed an issue where users were unable to access Kareo
