What are browser notifications?

Browser notifications are small messages that appear on your desktop to alert you of important events from Practice Growth.

What are the benefits of browser notifications?

By reacting quickly to important events, practices can increase lead conversion, minimize scheduling issues and improve patient satisfaction.

For what events can I receive browser notifications?

You can receive browser notifications for:

  • Appointment requests
  • Text message received
  • Intake form received
  • Virtual Waiting Room entered

How do I set up browser notifications?

To enable browser notifications, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Notification Preferences page in your User Profile.
    1. In the Practice Portal, click on your avatar on the lower left corner.  This will launch a user menu.
    2. On the user menu, click the Profile Settings link.  This will launch your User Settings Page.
    3. In the left navigation, click the Notifications link.
  2. Click the Enable browser notifications button.
  3. You should now see a prompt from your browser asking if you want to allow notifications from “app.Practice Growth.com”.  Click Allow.
  4. On the Notification Preferences page, ensure the checkboxes are checked for the browser notifications you wish to receive!

Troubleshooting for Chrome

  1. Check if your browser is set to allow notification prompts.
    1. In Chrome, click the three ellipses in the upper right to launch the menu, then click Settings.
    2. On the Settings page, click or scroll to the Privacy and Security section.  Click Site Settings.
    3. On the Site Settings Page, under the Permissions section, click Notifications.
    4. On the Notifications Page, ensure the setting Sites can ask to send notifications is set to ON.
    5. Immediately below that, ensure the setting Use quieter messaging (blocks notification prompts from interrupting you) is set to OFF.
  2. Ensure app.Practice Growth.com is not on your Blocked list.
    1. On the same page, see if https://app.paitientpop.com is on the Block list.
    2. If so, click on the three ellipses to the right of https://app.paitientpop.com and select Remove.
    3. Close out of the Settings, return to the Practice Growth Portal, reload the page and try again to enable browser notifications.

Troubleshooting for Safari

  1. Check if your browser is set to allow notification prompts.
    1. In Safari, go to Safari > Preferences, click Websites, then click Notifications.
    2. At the bottom, ensure the checkbox is selected for “Allow websites to ask for permission to send push notifications.”
  2.  Ensure app.Practice Growth.com is not being denied by your browser.
    1.  On the same screen, check if app.Practice Growth.com appears on your list of websites that have asked for permission to show alerts in Notification Center.  If found, to the right of app.Practice Growth.com, change the selection to Allow.
