Practices with appointment resources other than providers (e.g., exam rooms, x-ray equipment, or non-clinical staff), can add those resources to the appointment scheduler. Scheduling Resources works similar to Provider records. Once added, they are available for selection under the Resource section of the calendar, in the Appointment Details, and in other settings such as Appointment Reasons.

You always begin with finding the scheduler resource before creating, editing, or deleting a scheduler resource.
Find Scheduler Resource
- On the top menu bar, click Appointments > Scheduling Resources. The Find Scheduler Resource window opens.
Tip: To narrow down the list when there are numerous resources, use the Look For search bar to enter all or part of a keyword for the scheduler resource. Then, click Find Now.

New Scheduler Resource
- To prevent duplication, verify the scheduler resource is not in the system then click New at the bottom. The New Scheduler Resource window opens.
- Enter the information.
- Type: Click the drop-down arrow and select the type of resource, Equipment, Facility, or Human Resource.
- Resource Name: The name for the resource.
- When finished, click Save.

Edit Scheduler Resource
- Find the scheduler resource then double click to open. The Edit Scheduler Resource window opens.
- Make the necessary changes.
- Click Save. The resource is updated for all associated records.

Delete Scheduler Resource
- Find the scheduler resource then click to select it.
- Click Delete. A confirmation pop-up appears.
- Click Yes to confirm the deletion. The scheduler resource is deleted.
- If the resource was added to previously scheduled appointments, edit the appointments to remove the deleted resource, and add the appropriate resource(s) as necessary.
