Billing Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where users experienced errors upon log in or during key workflows 
  • Fixed an issue for QuestQuanum customers where superbills were not being sent to Kareo 
  • Fixed an issue where users received an error message when checking patient eligibility for payer ID Z1073 

 


Clinical

Patient Portal: Last Reinvited Date

Providers can now view the last time a patient was reinvited to the Patient Portal. The date will help MIPS eligible clinicians determine whether the patient should be reinvited to meet the Provider to Patient Exchange measure.

View Last Reinvited Date
  1. Access the patient's demographics.
  2. Click the Patient Portal tab. The Patient Portal page opens.
  3. The Last reinvited on date displays.
    • If the patient has never been reinvited, the field displays "never".
    • If the patient has been reinivited multiple times, the most recent date displays.

  • Fixed an issue where patients receive an "address not found" error after clicking Get Directions in the Day-Of appointment reminder

Kareo Telehealth

Telehealth Visit Enhancements

The enhanced Kareo Telehealth video visit now offers:

  • A new default layout - the video of the person joining the room floats to the bottom right so they can focus on the other participants
  • New Picture-in-Picture controls to mute the microphone, disable the camera, or leave the visit
  • The ability to show and hide the timer
  • Access to configure settings such as: video/audio, effects, etc.
Default Layout

Your video floats to the bottom right so you can focus on the other participants in the visit. Feature is available for providers and participants.

Picture-in-Picture

You can now mute your microphone, disable your camera, or leave the meeting directly from the Picture-in-Picture window. Feature is available for providers and participants.
  1. In the Telehealth visit, click the Picture-in-Picture icon on the toolbar or click P on the keyboard. The Picture-in-Picture window opens.
  2. Click the microphone icon to mute or unmute.
  3. Click the camera icon to disable or enable.
  4. Click the phone icon to leave the room.
    Note for Host Providers: Leaving the room using this option will allow the visit to continue for other participants. To end the visit for all participants, click Back to tab. Then, hover over the Leave icon and select End meeting for all.

Hide Timer

Providers with host permissions can hide the timer during the visit.
  1. Click the timer. The Meeting timer pop-up window opens.
  2. Click Hide timer. The timer is removed from the visit.

Show Timer

If applicable, providers with host permissions can show the hidden timer.
  1. Click more options icon and select Meeting timer. The Meeting timer pop-up window opens.
  2. Click Show timer. The timer is displayed on the visit.

Access Settings

Feature is available for providers and participants.
  1. In the Telehealth visit, click the gear icon on the toolbar. The Video & Audio Settings pop-up window opens.
  2. Provider or participants can configure the following settings:
    1. Video and Audio: Set up preferences camera, microphone, speaker, background noise, HD video, widescreen video, and mirror settings.

  1. Effects: Click Effects to select a blurred background or a virtual background.
  2. General: Click General to set language preferences or change the default emoji skin tone.
  3. Advanced: Click Advanced to set preferences for mobile mode, reduced visual effects, and automatically launching picture-in-picture.
