  • Allergist
  • Cosmetic Dentist
  • Dermatologist
  • General Dentist
  • General Practitioner
  • Internist
  • Med Spa
  • Medical Clinic
  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Obstetrician and Gynecologist

You can activate or inactivate standard appointment types from this list, as well as create custom ones. Practices currently have to enter appointment types manually when setting up their scheduling system, making this a major time-saver.

Key Benefits:

  • Ensuring that patients are selecting from a comprehensive list of supported appointment types….
    • Enables clearer communication from the start
    • Provides more specific insight into the patient’s visit reason
    • Helps you better understand the needs of your patient & better prepare for their visit
    • Ensures the patient knows all services that are available to them
    • Helps your practice save time while setting up your scheduling system

How It Works

There will be no change to your Portal experience. Simply navigate to the ‘Schedule’ tab and get started under the ‘Appointment types’ subheader.  For customers who have not set up appointment types, it will populate with a set list based on your specialty.

FAQs for Customers

Is there an additional cost associated with this feature?

No

Do I need to do anything to turn on this feature?

Appointment types will automatically populate as inactive appointment types in your practice settings under ‘Appointment Types’. Types can then be selected to be active within the online appointment scheduler based on the preferences of the practice. It is internally enabled.

How do I create custom appointment types?

Select ‘+ Add type’ in the top right of the Appointment Types settings page. Assign the appointment type a title, patient type, and active status. Select ‘Save’ to complete creation of the custom appointment type.  See more here

What set up is needed for this feature?

You must have a ‘Main’ specialty selected in their PPAdmin under Practice > Speciality. The feature will automatically populate appointment types as long as your specialty is currently supported.
