Rejection Details

This rejection indicates the claim contains a Not Otherwise Classified (NOC) code that requires a detailed text description.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to enter a NOC code description:

  1. Click Encounters > Track Claim Status. The Find Claim window opens.
  2. Look for and double click the appropriate claim to open. The Edit Claim window opens.
  3. Double click the Encounter ID number. The Edit Encounter window opens.
  4. Customize the Procedures section to add the Line Note and Ref. Code columns.
  5. Enter the information for the service line that needs correction.
    1. Ref. Code: Select ADD - Additional Information from the drop-down menu.
    2. Line Note: Type "NOC" in all caps followed by a space. After the space, enter the information (not to exceed 76 characters) as required by the payer.
  6. Repeat step 5 for all service lines that require a NOC code description.
  7. Click Save & Rebill.

Then, resubmit all affected claims when ready.
