Billing

Billing General Improvements

  • The Charge Capture sections are collapsible. 
  • The Automated Patient Billing schedule now has 60 and 90-day patient reminders.
  • For users with access to multiple Kareo accounts: System Administrators can now remove a user's access from a specific Kareo account without impacting their access to other Kareo accounts. Feature available August 22, 2022.

Billing Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue that limited the number of diagnosis codes on electronically submitted claims for certain payers 
  • Fixed an issue where patient payments collected through Stripe did not post in Kareo
  • Fixed an issue where the "Override EIN?" checkbox on the Service Location record was not working
  • Fixed an issue that was allowing future post dates for payments

 


Clinical

Facesheet Refresh

Confidently manage patients using Kareo’s updated Facesheet, which has been modernized to ensure easy and reliable access to key patient information.

The updated Facesheet will be released in phases starting mid-August 2022 to avoid service disruption.

New features include:
  • Modernized design
  • Hover over the patient's name to view additional patient information
  • Action items have been consolidated under the More drop-down menu, reducing clutter and noise
  • Improved stability and performance

Clinical General Improvements

  • The Charge Capture sections are collapsible.
  • To remain compliant with current regulations, Kareo has partnered with ID.me, a federally certificated identify provider to verify prescribers for eRx Enrollment.

Clinical Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to search for a pharmacy when prescribing a medication

  • Fixed an issue where the patient's insurance company or eligibility status did not populate in the Daily Schedule report
  • Fixed an issue where users received an error when attempting to access the dashboard
  • Fixed an issue where patient profiles images did not display
  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to save an insurance, run real time eligibility, or upload patient insurance cards
  • Fixed an issue where the patient's uploaded insurance cards were inaccessible
  • Fixed an issue where patient payments collected through Stripe did not post in Kareo
