Navigate A/R Dashboard

The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Dashboard empowers System Administrators with actionable insights into A/R drivers and aging. The dashboard provides interactive aging reports and drill-downs to help practices identify billing issues, prioritize follow-up tasks, and accelerate practice cash flow.

Note: The A/R Dashboard will be available for all customers by the end of June 2026. For common inquiries about the A/R Dashboard, review A/R Dashboard FAQs. To access the A/R Dashboard in the Desktop Application (PM), review Navigate A/R Dashboard.

Access A/R Dashboard

  • Hover over the Analytics icon and click A/R Dashboard. The A/R Dashboard page opens.

Navigate A/R Dashboard

  1. Refresh Data: Click the refresh icon to refresh the data as necessary.
  2. Filter drawer: By default, the dashboard shows A/R aging by the first billed date. Click the filter icon for additional options.
    • Add a filter: To filter by specific criteria, select Payer Scenario, Rendering Provider, Scheduling Provider, and/or Service Location. Then, make additional selection(s) as necessary under each option.
      • To remove a filter, click x.
    • Show Aging By: Select to show aging by First Billed Date (default), Date of Service, or Last Billed Date.
  3. Filters: Displays applied filters.
    • To remove a filter, click x.
    • To clear all filters, click Clear All.
  4. Summary & Benchmarks:
    Tip: Hover over the info icon where available to view how the value is calculated.
    • Outstanding A/R: The total outstanding A/R by Insurance and Patients as of the current day.
    • Gross collection rate: The percentage of total payments received divided by the total charges billed.
    • Total adjustments: The average total adjustments over the past three months.
    • Avg days in A/R: The average number of days to receive payments for services rendered.
    • Credits: The total credit balances (overpayments) by Insurance and Patients as of the current day.

  1. Insights:
    1. A/R aging bucket: Displays the total accounts receivable by type (e.g. Insurance or Patients) grouped by the number of days in accounts receivable depending on the aging parameter selected (e.g., First Billed Date, Date of Service, or Last Billed Date).
      • Insurance (default)/Patients: Click Insurance or Patients to toggle between the type of outstanding balances to view.
        • If viewing Insurance, click a horizontal bar to open the A/R Aging Buckets report for more details.
          Note: The A/R Aging Buckets report contains the same data as the Insurance Collections report but filtered based on what was selected on the A/R Dashboard.
      • Age: The average days in accounts receivable for amounts not yet received.
      • Total $/Percentage: The total dollar/percentage amount in accounts receivable awaiting payment.
    2. Top outstanding balances: Displays the top five insurances or patients with outstanding balances based on the age filter selected.
      • Insurance (default)/Patients: Click Insurance or Patients to toggle between the type of outstanding balances to view.
        • If viewing Insurance, click the insurance company name or See all to open the A/R Top Outstanding Balances report for more details.
          Note: The A/R Top Outstanding Balances report contains the same data as the Insurance Collections report but filtered based on what was selected on the A/R Dashboard.
      • Age filter: Defaults to 0+ days. Select a different outstanding balance age (e.g., 31+ days, 61+ days, 91+ days) as necessary.

  1. Trends: Displays a retrospective view of what happened with the practice's charges based strictly on the date of service and will not update with Show Aging By filter changes.
    • A/R over time: By default, displays the past 6 Months. Select to display 12 Months as necessary. Provides monthly A/R performance by comparing current insurance and patient balances to the same period in the prior year.
    • Matched A/R: By default, displays the past 6 Months. Select to display 12 Months as necessary. Provides a monthly breakdown of total charges by date of service, categorized by payments, adjustments, and remaining outstanding balances.
