On September 17, 2025, your Tebra account will be upgraded to the latest version. Features will be available the following day with the exception of specified timelines.

Billing

Billing General Improvements

  • The documents list that displays when using the Browse Existing option to add a document to a record, can now be filtered to only show documents associated with the patient.
  • To help avoid claim denials when an encounter contains a procedure code (e.g., unlisted or level 5 codes) that likely requires supporting documentation, a recommendation banner now displays in the Procedures section of that encounter before it is approved. The option to display the recommendation banner can be managed through the Encounter Options.
  • Tebra was updated with:
    • The new HCPCS code set, effective October 1, 2025, and the Medicare Fee Schedule revisions released by CMS. Visit the CMS website for more information about the HCPCS Quarterly Update and Fee Schedules.
      Note: Medicare Fee Schedule revisions will be available October 1, 2025.
    • The new Proprietary Laboratory Analyses (PLA) codes that go into effect October 1, 2025. Visit the AMA website for more general information about the PLA Codes.

Billing Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where the Desktop Application (PM) crashed when closing one practice while multiple practices were open
  • Fixed an issue where Billing Tasks could not be assigned to users

Clinical

Clinical General Improvements

  • ICD-10 codes are now automatically added to the Problems list when the AI Note is generated for the providers to review and approve. Feature will be available by the end of September 2025.
  • Practices using the new lab experience can now print lab labels from new Pending labs under Labs/Studies. Labels are saved as an attachment for clinical staff members to view and print as applicable.
  • Updated Influenza Vaccines to include the 2025-2026 CDC Influenza Immunizations.
  • Providers and clinical assistants can now manually update lab orders status from Pending to Results Ready.

Clinical Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where vaccines displayed the incorrect unit of mcg
  • Fixed an issue where some practices were unable to access the vaccine settings
  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to add the Chikungunya Vaccine to the patient's immunizations
  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to add HEPLISAV-B to the patient's immunizations
  • Fixed an issue where section descriptions were missing when creating or editing a custom note
  • Fixed an issue where providers were unable to stop a recording when using an AI Note Assist
  • Fixed an issue where selecting a generic drug from the search drop-down automatically change the selection to the brand name drug
  • Fixed an issue where users received an error message when attempting to order more than 75 eLabs

Engage

Patient Intake: Additional Mental Health Forms

With Tebra’s five additional mental health forms in the patient intake library, providers can capture auto‑scored behavioral insights before the visit, attach assessments in the patient’s documents, and accelerate evidence‑based treatment without extra setup. New mental health forms:

  • Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ)
  • Substance Abuse Screening (CAGE)
  • Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT-C)
  • Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS)
  • Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SRSS)

Available for Engage subscribers and accounts with access to Patient Intake by end of September 2025.

Send Intake Form

Invite the patient to complete the screening tool prior to their appointment. Once the patient submits the intake form, the front office can review and merge the information into the patient's chart.
  1. Send an intake form to the patient.
  2. Click the Patient Intake Forms drop-down arrow and select a new the screening tool(s):
    • ASRS
    • CAGE-AID
    • AUDIT-C
    • MDQ
    • C-SSRS
  3. Select the method of delivery and click Send.
  4. Intake Form and completes the screening tool.

For Clinical subscribers, providers can review the patient's screening tools document in a note.

Note: The new forms are not available through screening tools in the Test or Mental/Functional sections of a note.

Engage General Improvements

  • Tebra is migrating practice scheduling pages to Tebra Care Connect to deliver a more modern, mobile-friendly booking experience. This update helps improve your practice’s online presence and makes it easier for patients to book appointments. This update will be deployed to customers in phases and completed by end of September 2025.

Engage Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to enlarge uploaded images when reviewing a patient intake
  • Fixed an issue where the patient's date of birth shows one day prior when a patient previews their intake form
