Chart Messages Settings

Patient chart messages streamlines communication by centralizing messages in the patient's profile, boosting healthcare delivery and administrative efficiency, as well as, ensuring timely and consistent patient interactions, increasing satisfaction and strengthening relationships. System Administrators can enable Chart Messages for all practice users to view patient's complete message history from within their chart.

icon_warning.png Important Note: Before enabling patient chart messages, ensure it does not violate any of your practice's privacy standards. Once enabled, all practice users can view any patient's complete message history from within their chart. This includes all text messages, emails, staff, and secure patient portal messages.

Access Chart Messages

  1. Hover over the User icon and click on Practice Settings. The Practice Settings page opens.
  2. Click Clinical. Additional setting options expands.
  3. Click Chart View. The Chart View page opens.

Enable Chart Messages

  1. Click the toggle On. A confirmation message pop-up window opens.
  2. Click Activate to confirm. Log out and back into the web application to view patient messages on the patient's chart.

Disable Chart Messages

To remove access to the patient's text, email, staff and secure patient portal messages from the patient chart, disable chart messages. All patient messages are still accessible in the Message Center.

  1. Click the toggle Off. A confirmation message pop-up window opens.
  2. Click Disable to confirm.
