Edit or Remove Patient Payment Card

Updated: 06/23/2023|Views: 4875

For Patient Collect (Stripe) activated practices, securely manage saved patient payment card information in Tebra to easily record payments made for copays and outstanding account balances. Practices can process credit card payments through Tebra through Stripe.

For security purposes, the card number is not stored in Tebra. Only the last four digits and expiration date can be viewed by the practice.

Note: For Tebra Payments activated practices, review the Tebra Payments FAQs to learn how to edit or delete a saved payment card.

Access Payment Cards

  1. Enter the first 2–3 letters of the patient's name or date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy) in the top navigation bar search box.
  2. Click to select the patient from the auto-populated results. The patient's record opens to the Face Sheet.
  3. Click Account. The Account page opens.
  4. Click the Payment Cards tab. The Payment Cards page opens.

View Payment Card Details

  1. Click Action and select Show Details. The card detail expands.
  2. Review the details to determine if the card should be edited or removed. If necessary, add a new payment card.

Note: This field cannot be deselected. Mark another card as default to clear the selection.
  3. Click Save Changes when finished.
