Cancel Prescription

Updated: 07/07/2023|Views: 719

When an ePrescription is sent in error or is no longer necessary, eRx enrolled providers can send a cancelation request to notify the pharmacy.

Note: The feature is only available for prescriptions sent electronically. If applicable, mark the paper prescription as discontinued or as an error.

Access Patient Medications

  1. Enter the first 2–3 letters of the patient's name or date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy) in the top navigation bar search box.
  2. Click to select the patient from the auto-populated results. The patient's Facesheet page opens.
  3. Click Medications. The Active Medications page opens.

Cancel Prescription

  1. Click to select the medication to cancel.
  2. Click Cancel Rx. The Send Cancellation Request pop-up window opens.
  3. Click Yes to confirm. The cancel request is sent to the pharmacy.
  1. The Active Medication list updates and displays the cancelation status. Click on the status to review the cancelation message.

Once the pharmacy processes the cancelation request, review the eRx Cancel Request to complete the cancelation.
