Learn More: Message Center Enhancements

Updated: 09/23/2026 | Views: 7702

A new Message Center is now available for practices approved for Application-to-Person (A2P). Tebra makes it easier for practices to manage patient communications by delivering appointment reminders through a dedicated, verified 10 digit long code (10DLC) number that patients can trust. With reorganized Message Center inboxes, threaded appointment conversations, practices reduce confusion, improve deliverability, and engage patients more effectively.

Notes:

  • This is a limited release feature for A2P approved practices and is not available for all customers.
  • Only appointment reminders, telehealth appointment reminders, patient intake, text messages, and broadcast text messages are sent from the 10DLC. All other SMS (e.g., text balance reminders) for the practice will continue to be sent from other Tebra numbers.

Message Center Enhancements

  1. Updated Patient Inboxes: By default, all patient messages are displayed. Users now have the option to view messages based on how the patient sent the message: Patient Portal, SMS, or Email.
  2. Appointment Conversation: When a patient replies to an appointment reminder SMS, the original appointment reminder message displays in the conversation thread for users (Office Staff, Clinical Assistants, and the scheduled provider for the appointment) with the subject Appointment with [Provider Name].
icon_tip.png Tip: The conversation is also available in Patient Message History.
  3. More Inbox: By default, the More inbox is collapsed. Click to view the following inboxes: Archived, Flagged, Queued, New Leads, Other, Location Inbox, and Hidden.
