eRx Pending Order

Updated: 10/23/2025|Views: 0

Prescription order delegation helps streamline the prescription writing process by allowing clinical staff to queue up medication orders for approval. Clinical staff with a Clinical Assistant user role can add medications (including controlled substances) to prepare prescriptions. Providers can then quickly review and approve the medication order from the patient's chart or the Pending Orders list, reducing the provider's administrative burden.

Pending orders must be completed by an eRx enrolled prescriber. EPCS enrollment is also required when controlled substances are prescribed in the order.

The pending order is available for 7 days from the day it was created. Orders not sent to the pharmacy within 7 days will be removed from the patient's chart and the medications will need to prescribed again (if applicable).

Note: All pending orders for the practice is displayed and cannot be filtered.

Feature available by the end of October 2025.
