The patient's facesheet provides access to all the areas necessary for charting your patient's visits. Additionally, clinical staff can review a quick summary of the patient's active medications, active problems, recently recorded vitals, current history information, labs/studies, and clinical recommendations.
Access Patient Facesheet
- Enter the first 2–3 letters of the patient's name or date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy) in the top navigation bar search box.
- Click to select the patient from the auto-populated results. The patient's Facesheet page opens.

Navigate Facesheet
- Sidebar: Click to access the patient's History, Problems, Medications, Immunizations, Allergies, Vitals, Notes, Labs/Studies, Flowsheets, Demographics, Account, Care Checklist, Documents, or Recall.
Note: Options may vary based on the practice and provider's subscription, user's roles, or chart view customizations.
- Patient Details:
- Basic Demographics: Displays the patient's photo, preferred name, pronouns, legal name, medical record number (MRN), date of birth, sex, primary phone number, and insurance(s), as applicable.
- Chart Access Restrictions: If Chart Access is enabled, displays the patient's chart restriction level.
- Restricted: Indicates the chart is restricted and only specific clinical staff member(s) involved in the patient's care can access sensitive areas of the chart based on the practice's Chart Access setting. Click to see which staff members has access to the chart.
- Unrestricted: Indicates the chart can be restricted to allow specific clinical staff member(s) involved in the patient's care to access sensitive areas of the chart based on the practice's Chart Access setting. Click to assign the staff members.
- Collect Payment (Billing subscribers only): Displays the option to collect a payment and the patient's balance.
- Alert: Hover over Alert to view the patient alert.
Note: Alert only displays when the patient has an alert and the option to show an alert message when "Displaying patient details" is selected.
- Allergies: Displays documented allergies.
- If "No known allergies" is selected, No known allergies displays.
- If "No known medication allergies" is selected, No known medication allergies displays.
- If both "No known allergies" and "No known medication allergies"are selected, No known allergies displays.

- Print: Click to generate a PDF of the patient's chart, including up to 20 notes.
- More: Click the drop-down arrow to select the option to:
- + New Note: Click to create a default note type for the patient.
- To select a different active note type, click the drop-down arrow and select the note.

- Customize View: Click to customize the chart view by hiding sections of the patient facesheet and sidebar navigation.
- Facesheet: Click on a section to access the corresponding page.
- Medications: Displays all active medications ordered by the last edit date.
- Problems: Displays all active problems ordered by the last edit date. When documented, the Type of problem and Start Date displays next to the problem.
- Vitals: Displays the recently recorded vitals from Vitals or a clinical note with the last updated date.
- History: Displays the patient's documented history including custom items and comments. History sections are hidden when empty.
- Lab/Studies: Displays up to the last five lab/imaging orders by the ordered/entered date with the status.
- Service Status Alert: In the event of service downtime, a message displays with the date and time the data of each card was last retrieved. Click Refresh to retrieve updated data.
Note: Updated data may not be available if the service has not been restored.
- Clinical Recommendations: Recommendations from Clinical Decision Support (CDS) and the US Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) database for the effectiveness of a broad range of clinical preventative services including screening, counseling, and preventative medications.
Note: The USPSTF Recommendation must be turned on to display Clinical Recommendations on the patient's facesheet.

Navigate Patient Card
Hover over the Patient Name to view the patient card with additional information.
- Alert Message: Displays the patient alert.
Note: Alert message only displays when the patient has an alert and the option to show an alert message when "Displaying patient details" is selected.
- Demographics: Displays the patient's legal name and MRN, if applicable.
- Insurance: Displays the patient's primary and secondary (if applicable) insurance company from their primary insurance case.
- Contact:
- Appointments: If applicable, displays the date and time of the appointment, Visit Reason, and the status of the appointment of the patient's last and/or next appointment.
- To edit an upcoming appointment, click the next appointment detail.
- If the appointment is a group appointment, the date and time of the group appointment and the status of the appointment displays.
